Still proud of electrical work but missing the passion

So I’m still proud of the electrical work I do here and there... and I take the job seriously. but lately the passion doesn’t feel as strong as it used to. The work itself hasn’t changed... and I still care about doing things right, it just feels more routine than rewarding some days.

But I’m not frustrated or looking to quit, it just feels like the spark comes and goes now. Not sure where. After a long stretch of steady work, I’m wondering if this is just a normal phase or something others have gone through too.

Have any of you hit a point where the pride is still there but the excitement faded for a while?

That’s a relatable spot to be in, especially after a long stretch of steady work. Caring about doing things right doesn’t always come with the same excitement year round. Did this feeling build up slowly for you, or did it show up once things finally slowed down?

I think, GotouTensie, when find yourself with a chance to help out a lonely widow, a single mother of low income, a disabled person or just someone who was about to get cheated by another that the passion for your profession will return and stay around for a long while!
