Outside of work, what hobbies are you getting into this year?

After a pretty work-heavy year, I’ve been thinking about how much of my time still revolves around electrical stuff, even on days off. This year I want to change that a bit and make room for something that doesn’t feel like another job.

For me, I’m looking at getting back into fitness and maybe picking up photography. Something that clears my head and doesn’t involve troubleshooting or tools. Feels like a good reset.

Curious what everyone else is planning. What hobbies are you hoping to explore this year outside of work?

I’m trying to pick hobbies that don’t involve crawling in weird spaces, haha. After a year of electrician work, I want something that’s easier on the body, maybe swimming, stretching, or even just weekend bike rides. I also want to read more because it feels like a different kind of focus.

My 2026 non work hobbies are reading more, basic gym routine, and maybe learning an instrument. I want stuff that’s not screen based and not tied to job stress.

I started gardening last year, and it’s been the best unelectrical hobby I’ve ever had. No apps, no firmware, and definitely no code books. Just dirt and plants. this year, I'm going to spend more time gardening, I need it after spending 50+hours with electric

anyone here ever done hammock camping? I did it the first time on New Year's Eve. like it a lot, I think it's gonna be my new hobby
