Anyone else swamped with generator checks already?

I’ve started getting a few calls about backup systems again now that storm season’s creeping in. A couple of customers want their generators tested, and one asked about adding a transfer switch before winter. It feels like the same rush every year once people remember what a power outage feels like.

Anyone else already doing prep work for backup systems? I’ve been checking older installs and finding a lot of switches that haven’t been serviced in years. Some of them still have dust from the last big storm. Curious if everyone else is seeing the same uptick in requests or if folks in Nebraska are just being extra cautious this year.

I’ve been running checks all week. Found one generator that still had last year’s gas sitting in it. People really do forget these things need love between storms.

I haven't had extra calls for checkups because the in-house electricians at the facility often do that. But I've had an unusual amount of transfer switches failing to operate during an outage this summer & early fall. Way more than usual. Wonder why suddenly so many.
