There’s a point in the trade where something that used to feel heavy just… doesn’t anymore. Early on, a lot of things take up mental space. You double check yourself constantly. You replay decisions after the job. You wonder if you missed something obvious. Then one day, you realize you’re not carrying that weight the same way.
So I’m curious. What part of the trade do you no longer overthink?
Maybe it’s opening a panel. Maybe it’s troubleshooting when the answer isn’t obvious right away. Maybe it’s talking things through with a customer instead of stressing about saying the perfect thing. Or maybe it’s trusting your process instead of second guessing every step.
Those moments usually mean experience has quietly done its job. What’s the thing that used to live rent free in your head that now just feels like part of the workday?
