Pre-Thanksgiving workload for electricians

Thanksgiving week usually brings its own set of surprises, and I’m curious how it looks on your end. For electricians, do you usually get last minute calls before the holiday? Some people suddenly notice problems only when guests are about to arrive.

A lot of members here have mentioned common checks like overloaded circuits in the kitchen, tripping breakers, or quick fixes for outdoor lighting. Others get called for simple panel checks or to confirm everything is safe before the crowd shows up.

If you have a pattern you see every year or a common issue you get asked to look at during Thanksgiving week, what does it tend to be?

Funny thing is Thanksgiving week always turns into “my oven tripped the breaker again” season for me. Half the calls were people discovering their kitchen circuits aren’t built for three crockpots and an air fryer running at once. Happens every year like clockwork.
