Ok so what did i just do?

We have this old pyro cable and i was toying with it. I accidentally may have bent it way too much. so I straightened it back again, no biggie.
or so I thought. the wires are now touching each other!!

did I mess it up by bending it? Can the short be still fixed inside the cable? help!

I'm afraid you indeed messed it up :/ It's really hard to fix a short inside. You might be able to cut the damaged part and re-terminate it with pyro glands but usually replacement is the best bet. I'm sorry, hope you've learned your lesson that pyro shouldn't be flexed.

bro you bent a pyro cable and now it's shorted? of course it is. P cables aren't meant to be flexed like garden hose, it's packed with magnesium oxide, so if you bend it too far, you crush the insulation, and boom conductors touch and straightening it after wont fix a thing because the damage has been done already, you also cant fix the short from outside, you have to cut out the bad section, re-terminate it properly, or replace the whole run if you're not sure where the damage is.
