Anyone else have a hobby totally different from electrical work?

Does anyone here have a hobby that’s the total opposite of what we do for work? I’ve been trying to learn drawing even though my hands only seem to know how to hold pliers and screwdrivers. It feels weird switching from wires to pencils, but also kind of refreshing.

Figured I’d ask around because I’m sure I’m not the only one trying something completely different on the side. What’s your non-work hobby that keeps you sane?

Plenty of folks in this trade pick up hobbies far from the electrical world because it helps balance out the long days. Drawing is a solid choice since it slows things down and gives you space to think without worrying about loads or equipment age. If it keeps you engaged, it is already doing its job. What kind of drawing style are you trying to learn right now?

I got into cooking. Not the fancy stuff, just trying not to burn dinner. It’s the one time I’m not thinking about code compliance or breakers. Kids think it’s hilarious watching me struggle with a recipe after I spent all day wiring a panel.
