Which is better: double pole fused or double pole type C MCB?

So what's the best way to protect a 3kw immersion heater wired from a final ring? Well is it better to use a 13A double pole fused connection unit to blow permanently when overloaded and prevents more damage? Orrr is 13A double pole Type C mini circuit breaker better? The latter just trips but it can be switched back on? Is this safe or not?

I think both keep things safe from too much power. Mini circuit breakers are easier to deal with since you just need to flip it back when it trips, no need for you to look for a new fuse.

While the fuse box you need to replace fuses all the time. it's already annoying just thinking about it, right? Whichever you pick, just stay safe!

The best practice is to use a 13A double pole fused connection and that's it. Type C MCB may trip on an overload but its resettable so it's kinda risky if someone resets without fixing. Use the FCU

I hope my suggestion isn't too late. Ideally, a dedicated circuit with a slightly higher-rated breaker like 16A or 20A would be safer and more reliable! But if those are your only options, then 13A Type C MCB is generally better! It's designed to trip reliably under overload and short circuit conditions, and it can be reset once the fault is cleared.
