came across a problem with a Generac 22kW standby generator that had an RTS 400 amp automatic transfer switch, but it had an issue I couldn't wrap my head around, the emergency status in the ATS status menu kept on reading "unacceptable" and I believe its meant to show "standby", I normally see problems and diagnose solutions because it helps me learn but I haven't been able to find anything on it yet or why it would show unacceptable. Anyone has any insight on that ?

the emergency status reading "unacceptable" issue on your generac 22kw standby generator with an rts 400 amp automatic transfer switch could be tied to several factors. based on the specs and operation of these systems this status often indicates a fault or misconfiguration in the transfer switch or generator setup. it might be related to voltage irregularities, improper wiring or a communication error between the generator and the ats. checking the voltage readings and ensuring all connections are secure is a good starting point. another possibility is that the ats detects an issue with the load or utility power source. the rts 400 amp switch is designed to monitor and manage power transitions so any inconsistency in the input or output could trigger this status. Reviewing the owners manual for diagnostic steps or error codes specific to your model might provide more clarity. If the problem persists contacting generac support or a certified technician could help pinpoint the exact cause. good luck man.
