outdoor rated panel for a garage woodshop

I’m installing a subpanel in an attached garage/shed and want to use an outdoor rated (NEMA 3R) panel I already have on hand
it feels like a win-win because it’s a dusty woodshop environment, the space is unheated, and the wall has had leaks in the past
I'm planning to run Teck90 with weather tight connectors to keep it all sealed up.
is there anything in the Electrical Code that stops me from using an outdoor rated box inside a building?
Seems like the extra protection against dust and moisture is a plus, but I want to make sure an inspector won't flag it for being over spec

Any CEC experts have thoughts on this?

Using a NEMA 3R panel indoors usually isn’t an issue. Inspectors typically care more that it’s listed for the purpose, installed correctly, and you still meet clearances and working space. The bigger “gotcha” is making sure it’s actually suitable as a subpanel in that location and your grounding and bonding are done correctly.

What part of the garage is it in, and is it considered a damp location? If yes, the 3R seems like a plus, but watch for condensation inside the can if the space is unheated. Also are you sure the panel is actually listed for that use and not just labeled outdoor rated marketing wise. A quick photo of the label and install location usually gets you a confident answer.
