Need better wasp spray

I need help finding a good wasp spray. I work on outdoor panels a lot and sometimes wasps build nests in them. The only way to find out is to open the panel and see what is inside. I used to use a CRC spray that was great. It would drop them right out of the air. But they changed the formula and now it does not work as well.

Lately, I've been using Raid Defender, but it's not much better. The wasps have to be completely soaked to die and even then it takes a minute. Most of them just fly away angry. So what is your favorite wasp spray for working on electrical panels or similar jobs? Does anyone know a brand that works fast?

For a quick and safe solution near panels, give CRC Wasp & Hornet Killer Plus or Bengal Non-Conductive spray a shot. They both work fast, and you don't have to worry about electrical issues. They're great at knocking down pests from a distance.

Although I hate to kill anything, sometimes it's necessary for safety. \
The products that Ohm mentioned work great. Bengal is good for 38 Kv. Spectracide makes one good for 48 Kv. Above that, I de-energize.

In the olden days, we'd use refrigerant R-11 to freeze them, but it wrecks the environment (which we did not know at the time).

Prevention:
Put some drops of eucalyptus oil in the enclosure. They won't return.


Wasps love living in the primary side. An entomologist told me that they feel the vibration of the 60-Hz frequency which matches the queen's sound, attracting them. Soon the nest builds enough to cause arcing between phases & subsequent fire. Hornets & leaf cutters like the secondary side. I was told that's because it's warm. Sounds reasonable.
