Installing some softlights

I'm trying to help my parents with a project and could use some advice. We're installing some 4 inch canless lights in their soffit, and we're stuck on where to put them.

I've been trying to decide whether the lights should be centered directly over the windows or in the spaces between them.
The ones by the front door will be under the porch, but the rest are in the main soffit.

Before we start cutting holes, I was hoping to get some opinions. What do you guys think looks best for soffit lighting?

I feel it usually looks better and more intentional when you line them up over the windows that way. Spacing them in between can make things look random unless you've got a really long run to fill

Wouldn’t there be less reflection of the lights on the glass if lights were between?? A better ambience in the room, perhaps?

Most houses look cleaner with lights between windows, not right above. It keeps symmetry when viewed from the street. Just make sure the front door lights line up with the rest so the whole soffit feels continuous.

When deciding, be sure to keep in mind the Beam Spread of the lamps versus the height of the lamp over the surface.
You may want the beams to overlap, or perhaps be separate "cones" of light.
