I’m a PC building/gaming hobbyist up here in North Dakota, and I just started looking into whole-home smart panels with battery backup systems. Winters here can knock power out without warning, and I don’t want my gaming rig or network gear taking a hit mid-session. If I’m already running a UPS for my PC setup, will that play nice with a larger smart panel + battery backup (like a Tesla Powerwall or similar system)? Or do they end up conflicting with each other when switching between grid and backup power? Anyone running both setups? smart home panel backup plus local UPS for PCs? I’d love to know how smooth (or not) the transition is or am i asking for trouble?
