Retired from self employed installation of draperies, blinds, fancy window treatments, mostly residential & some commercial. Also hanging art, pics, framed mirrors, almost anything else decorative or functional (like shelving & such), & assemble box furniture & more. This was career 2 & 5.
Also was Minister of Music, math teacher, & worked for Xerox.
Still trying to decide what to do when I grow up. Enjoy Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief on teams for set up mass feeding kitchen, cooking & cleaning in mass feeding kitchen, chainsaw (storm tree removal), and mud-out (post-flood cleanup).
Really enjoy DIY for myself & church's handyman ministry (mostly for older widows). I know enough about carpentry, electrical, & plumbing to get out of most of the trouble I get myself into.
Happy to share what I know. What I know best is hanging stuff on the wall. Also default to brainstorming & problem solving.
I always liked to ask other trades about their work. Once I asked an electrician how often he got shocked. He said about twice a year--when he came home & dinner was ready.
Best to all, Eddie
