I was helping a family set up their Christmas lights and one of their older breakers started acting tired the moment we added more load. Nothing tripped but you could hear it buzzing a bit and the lights flickered when everything kicked on. It reminded me how many homes only find their weak spots in December when the decorations go up.
Do you test or swap anything specific before the holiday lighting rush. I usually check outlets and look for loose neutral connections but I am thinking I should be a bit more proactive with older panels. Curious how others prep for this season since it is always the time when hidden problems show up.
