I’m curious what people’s lunch strategies look like on busy days. Sometimes you have ten minutes, sometimes you have a real break, and the goal is still the same: eat something that fuels you and does not ruin your focus.

What’s your go-to meal, and what do you avoid because it always makes you sluggish? Bonus points if it is something you can grab almost anywhere and still feel good about after.

I’m trying to be better in 2026 about not living on gas station snacks. Lately it’s been yogurt or a protein bar plus some fruit, then a real meal later when there’s time.

On busy days I default to something simple like a turkey sandwich or a rotisserie chicken wrap and an apple. Anything super greasy wrecks me fast and I get sluggish.

For me, lunch is a big pile of vegetables & fruit. Celery, carrots, fresh broccoli, apple, grapes. Stuff like that. Anything more and it's Food Coma time for me. (Gas station sushi just doesn't seem too wise.)
